Brancott wines are considered the benchmark of New Zealand winemaking as the winery was the first producer to plant Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough to create the classic, world-renowned style. Garnet red in colour this wine exhibits a mix of red cherry and dark berry fruit aromas with a slight cinnamon-like spicy complexity, dry herbs and hints of oak toast on the nose. It delivers sweet cherry fruit on the palate overlaying tobacco and liquorice spice notes. On the palate it presents a velvet textural structure with fruit and hints of spicy toast supporting this into the finish
