This Haitian rhum is produced using fresh sugarcane juice. Originally this was reserved for friends and family, but in the 1960's Barbancourt released this product for sale. Their rhums are aged in French Limousin oak barrels. TASTING NOTES: "It leads with aromas of straw, cane syrup, tea, honey, caramel, dried peaches, almond and oak that are elegant and inviting. The palate reveals tannins, toffee, nuts and cinnamon in a smooth mouthfeel that lingers to reveal stewed fruits. The finish is soft, mellow and displays of all of these flavors in a slow fade."
