The Marchesi family has ties to winemaking in the commune of Barolo since the early 1800’s and have been one of the main estates in the world renown region. Although Nebbiolo is the dominant grape of the area, Barbera shines here as well and is one of the staple grapes the family uses when trying out fresh, new wines. This is a very vibrant and expressive wine that does not shy away from its bold and robust flavors. The nose is well perfumed with wild berry, vanilla, and toasted oak all present with black cherry and earth influencing the palate.
