Although this winery is owned by Chapoutier it operates autonomously, with its own dedicated vineyard, winery and commercial team. Quality here is now the best it’s been since Michel Chapoutier first partnered with Michel Ferraton in 1998. The single-site bottlings here are serious, top-tier wines that are underpriced, for now, considering the quality they deliver.
The vineyards are situated on the left bank of the Rhône in alluvial and gravelly soils. The color is garnet with ruby reflections. Aromas are ripe red fruits. It is a nicely structured wine on the palate with firm, developed tannins.
